Are you getting up in the early hours to watch the match?

G'day! I am considering it, got some relies over at present and we're going on a surfing lesson with them first thing as ive the day off, will see how late we're up tonight, if not will record and watch it.

Just did some more (yawn) stats from BOM
In the 122 days between start of June and end of Sept there were 20days where it got under 4C (40F ish) early in the morning.

To follow up on your stats it is worth pointing out that temperature readings taken do not take into account wind chill and as we know Perth is the 3rd most windy city in the world so this can make a big difference.....a 15C day in winter can feel a lot colder when the wind chill is considered.

As for the temperature never rarely dropping below 55F

Forgive the confusion, I meant in the daytime. Yes it gets colder at night and early in the morning, if I remember correctly.......I did say if, it has only ever dropped below freezing on a couple of occasions since weather stats were recorded, but if you are out late at night or early in the morning you will need something warm on, what I was meaning was in the course of the daytime, you certainly dont need your skiing jacket and thick boots, because the climate simply doesnt warrant that.

As for the clothes over here, well all the ones I have just looked at were made in China, when I looked at some of our childrens clothes that we brought with us from NEXT and Tesco......they were also made in China, so I cant really see the difference. its more or less the same stuff getting branded differently on its departure from a chinese factory.

If that was last year then I will defo go with that, because we have definitely noticed a change in the weather here. The winters definitely aren't anywhere near as cold and as long as they used to be and, last year was the mildest we could remember in 11 winters here in WA.

Sad as we are, a friend and I have recorded the dates we succumbed to putting the heating on in each of our homes. She feels the cold and I don't. I walk around almost all year without anything on my feet indoors, still wearing shorts and a thin sweatshirt come May. She on the other hand is in her snuggies and wearing fleeces and long pants indoors in April. But, last year we put our reversed cycle heating on for the first time on the 19th June for 1/2 hour, then didn't feel the need for it to be on again until 5th July. After that, it was rarely on for longer than 15 mins just to heat the house up.

My friend however, who has gas fired heating and oiled filled radiators, had her heating on from 3rd June right through 'til end of September. It was far to stifling in her house for me, but as I said, she feels the cold and I don't.

Sounds like our house, im hardly ever cold, and like you can sit around in shorts and t-shirt most of the year, the wife on the other hand has been seen sitting in a fleece in January:)

You obviously don't give her enough bear hugs Steve. Try it today.

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Don't forget to give that someone(s) special a hug and let them know how much you care.

If you enjoy the "Bintang" singlet, Billabong boardies & Ripcurl thongs look, you'll be right ...

However, if Trannie & Boozeanna float your boat ... FORGET Perth.

WA: The land that Fashion forgot.

It costs me $160 for a Lacoste polo in DJ's ... thieving oiks.

I am, self ashamedly ... a metrosexual  :p
