When i get to land of the golden sun!!! Can't decide what to get,

Shogun?

You need sanding down, the Toyota family (Landcruiser, Prado, Surf/Four runner) is rated by most petrol heads as the best 4WD option available in terms of value for money and reliability.



EXTREMELY happy with my Surf, BTW.

I too am trying to decide between a Landcruiser Prado, Shogun or Patrol, anyone test drove any of these, even better anyone already bought one.

Don't like the Corolla myself (at least not the one I hired about 15 years ago in the Middle East which couldn't take the heat and melted.

Surf 3.0 litre engine in mine (96) is the same as a Prado's of the same vintage. Should be good for 500K kms. They don't go wrong.
