Ok guys here goes.

We now have quotes from shipping companies John mason has come in with £880 pickfords have come in with £1000 ands Pns (?) was £1100.

All for a 200cu ft shared container.

We want to know about whether to get thier insurance and if not where to get the shipping insurance so any ideas peeps.

We thining of sending stuff around mid march gonna beg borrow steal (kidding) from here to live without what we send

I read on another thread that INSURE YOUR MOVE were cheaper than taking out the container companies own insurance. Hope this helps

We went with Letton Perceival (highly recommended here). They were much cheaper than Pickfords/Crown.

We shipped with Jhon mason 40ft Container very pleased. Although I decided NOT to Insure reason being I could afford to lose the load and at the end of the day total loss scenario is extrmely Unlikely in fact I have never heard any on this forum ever say they have lost the lot the worst is you may have some breakage! Or Theft/loss anyway Ours would have been £900.00 at the time and I thought if an insurance company is prepared to take the risk so will I? After all I had up to £900.00 to play with for loss or damaged goods.
Anyway we had no losses or breakage so it pay your money or take your chance?
