Its too late for us shipping left NZ a few days ago, but does anyone know if all wood going into NZ has to be fumigated by customs. The wood stuff we sent was a slay bed and some wooden frames.

We even varnished the wooden slats, cos we thought it would be fine as long as its treated with a varnish, but were not sure where we got that from.

Anyone had experience of this???????

SHould be fine, only has to be fumigated if its untreated wood; they are really looking for stuff that might be woodworm infested, or from higher-risk countries such as South America where there are more pests.
