Default shipping times to oz

Hi just wondered if you lot who are already in oz could tell us how long it took to get your worldly goods shipped to oz as everybody seems to have a different timescale.

This information would be very helpful. We have been quoted various and very diverse times. For us - it is almost the longer the better so we would like everyone to vote please pretty please?? Particularly if they went via the Panama Canal???? as we have been told this adds from 1 to 3 weeks t the time :scared: :scared: :scared:

We used Britannia Movers in the UK and our shipment arrived 2 months after departure, which was pretty much when they told us it would arrive. It then waited for another 2 months until it was delivered. Our local shipping agent (Trans International) told us that it was waiting to clear customs. After a few weeks, we contacted customs directly and asked what the status of the shipment was, who informed us that it had cleared several weeks before. I contacted the local shipping agent who then miraculously told me it had just cleared customs.

We reckon the local agent was just short staffed and the delay was nothing to do with customs. Most people will probably not question a customs delay … increased terrorism threat etc, but I would contact customs directly if this is what you are being told.

I wonder if we hold the record for fastest shipment. Boat left on 23rd December and arrived at Fremantle 17th January.

We had storage both ends but that was our cock up not theirs.

Shipment left 29th June, arrrived 29th August...mostly in one piece. 6 days from docking to delivery at this end, nice guys in shorts too

Second part of shipment, which wouldn't fit in container, only leaves the UK this week however as they were waiting to fill a container with other stuff.....so that will arrive end October
