On shipping items to oz in a container is there anything you wished you had took or wished you had purchased thats way expensive in oz compared to uk,when the times comes i will have serveral items i will want to take with me,only several and a large collection of statues i been collecting for approx 9 years,very valueable and extremely rare,which will take up a bit of room,but to get the max out of the space was wondering if be better buying some new stuff before i go,yes customs may charge cause they are new or less than 12 months but maybe still less than buying over there.
I have a lot of items that i will also still need to get or buy once there,that i am not taking with me cause they are so old,would replace them now for new but maybe better getting new over there,than now here incase no room for them.
But the likes of beds,sofa kitchen appliances like dryer,washing machine,fridge are the things that really would not be worth taking cause they are in need of being replaced or are several years old and could pack in anyday.
Do many of you take these above or leave and buy there.
I would be taking pictures,plasma,lcd,home bar yes but an rare one at that,and lots of other items.
What about glass items of items with part glass or all glass how are they packed and how do they go down with shipping companies.
Also are your items all loose in a container or are some strapped down etc.

I would want it to be worth while shipping my stuff if it was well full if you know what i mean and got the most of out it,i suppose my statues alone would be worth it alone as they are worth so more,but i just wanted to know if there is things that i should consider taking while i am shipping anyway.

Also when it comes to say cds and little items of value to you only,game consoles and other valuable items are these all safe in container.
And what about important papers i take it you would just take these in your suitcase.
