Shipping Stuff!
 

Hi guys my visa is currently underway and am currently doing all the DIY i can on my house before it goes on the market but i was wondering what are peoples thoughts on shipping their bits and bobs over!

have a house full of stuff but am in 2 minds as to what to take or leave- know im taking my leather couch but other than that am stuck - have fridges/cookers etc that didnt cost too much over here and have been told easier to buy over in oz but then again my new employer are paying for relocation costs so why not use them to pay to ship it all over! am not bothered if have to buy all over again but really dont know what to do ! can any one help me!

im moving over to mackay in QLD if thats any use!

so the dilemma is:
buy new or ship over my own stuff!!!!!!!!

Hi, still in the waiting to ship stuff over position ourselves, but from research I've done and from reading numerous other posts on this site, if your employers are paying all the relocation costs then I would ship everything over as it will still cost you the AUD equivilant to replace the items once in Oz. Good luck with it all.

Yup, I'd agree... If it's no cost then bring the lot... :)
