Hi all we just had a quote from anglo pacific for a shipping container to adelaide. £3425 they say this is a door to door service and includes them doing all the packing up and unpacking in OZ so is it a good quote.

Hi Steve

We have had 3 quotes for sole use of a 20ft container from West Yorkshire to Melbourne, door to door with all packing and unpacking, they are £3999, £3745 and £3940. I would say yours is a good price, if it includes everything.

I am shipping from Angus Scotland - Perth OZ quote with WHITES & CO WAS £3695 i had 5 quotes in total, i played them off each other and whites came down to £2850 thats door to door 20ft container and they come and pack it all. i am getting my insurance from Lettons cost £420
I think i have a very good deal :thumbsup:

hi steve. we have a quote for a 20foot container to brisbane of £3150 from PSS international removals, thats 2 days packing and door to door delivery.

Hi there, hope you don't mind me butting in, but we too had a quote from PSS but slightly higher than yours to Perth though. When did you get your quote? Ours was back in Nov, and he struggled to keep it to the same price when I asked him to sharpen it for me! as the prices have gone up recently.

Strange you say prices have gone up recently, Crown rang us today and reduced the price:thumbsup: But that could be to try and incentivise us to go with them:eek:

Initial quote was £4231.00 and now it is £3999.00, still not the cheapest though, so will keep them hanging on a bit longer:thumbsup:

maybe worth giving Doree Bonner a call on 0800 289541 to see what they quote as they get good reviews on here. I think all most companies need to quote is a volume

Hi Steve,

I have mentioned this a few times before on BE, but once more won't hurt! We had an absolutely terrible time with Anglo Pacific.:curse:

They damaged a fair bit of our stuff, it took three times as long to get here to Brisbane as they said it would. Infact, one box took a year to arrive:curse::curse:

Don't be fooled by the glossy information booklet! There are other companies :thumbsup:

Price sounds good to me. Last July we used AP for sole use 20' to Perth and cost a shade over £4k as I recall. Contrary to previous post they were excellent! Heard a couple of horror stories about PSS.

I guess at the end of the day it (the quality of move) depends on the crew you get - a bit like airlines.

We're using a company called Hamilton's who are local to us in Norfolk. We just got their name from the Yellow Pages. They are doing a 20ft container to Perth for £2,968 door to door inc packing/unpacking.

They are coming on Monday to pack ready to load on Tuesday so I'll let you know how we get on!
