We are paying £3400 for 20ft container door to door (boxing non breakables ourselves) from Atlantis Overseas Removals (B'ham). All other quotes were well above this. Insurance from Letton Percival at 1.53%

Got a quote from Pickfords. For 425 Cu was £2168. Insurance was 3% of the valuation of the goods (no excess). Dundee to Brisbane.

Cheers

Can anyone tell me how they quote you? ... do they have to visit?

We have a 3 bed house, but are leaving / getting rid of half so really haven't a clue as we speak of how much we're looking at.

I've budgeted for £3,000 but just wondered how they quote you ?!

Cheers
