Smile Shipping to Oz

Hello again,
I have stopped worrying about the visa application now (it is all in the lap of the gods now) and have now started on the next stresser. I know there are lots of threads on this already and I have looked through most but has anyone recently sent out just a few items of furniture and how much did it cost? We have about three or four pieces of furniture that we would like to hold on to (antiques etc) and will probably sell the rest. Along with some boxes of sentimental stuff Ican't see that filling a whole container. Any experiences like ours?

Thanks

Most companies are willing to ship part-container loads, which yours would be. Might take a bit longer as you have to wait for the rest of the container to fill, but I suggest trying all the major ones - do a search on the forum and there are loads of threads with websites and phone numbers. You'd probably be looking at about £1000 for 3-4 pieces, plus boxes of personal stuff, but it depends on the actual volume of the stuff.

Hi, I have sent out only a few bits, have used Pickfords and Bishops Blatchpack (part of Bishops Move) previously. Pickfords are always shipping out so you dont have to wait long with them, Bishops took ages. See my comments on the thread about Pickfords container for price.
