When shipping stuff off it seems that most packers want to pack your stuff for you. That's OK for most things, but what about your intimate stuff? Will they accept a pre-packed box of your more personal gear - things that buzz in the night? Or do you have to take them on the plane and explain them to security?

I hear that they have sniffer dogs at the airport that are trained to detect rubber, pvc and KY Jelly. They bark loudly when the sniff some, and they wear a little orange jacket that says "Pervert Pooch" on it. Worth thinking about!

You can normally pack some boxes on your own, the removal company will probably not insure them that's all. Do remember though that personally packed items are more likely to be examined by customs officers!
