Anyone had any quotes for shipping from Glasgow to Brisbane?

Received a quote from 1st Move International for a 20ft container. They quoted £5894, which does include their packing service, but still seems very expensive!

Any advice appreciated........

Pickfords door to door, Glasgow to Mackay abt £1100 shared load. They wanted an Aus address which is seemingly for customs but didnt have one. Advice from here was pick a hotel and leave off name of said hotel. When here, get a rental and phone Aus side of Pickfords and give new address. 12-18 weeks but not here yet, maybe another 6 weeks or so. Not a full load but search forum as I remember this question being asked a few times

Try Crown on www.crownrelo.com they do all your packing and we got two reasonable quotes for shipping almost everything and just boxes of personal stuff.We'll be using them from Glasgow to Brisbane too.

we r outside glasgow, crown came in at most expensive, while doree bonner offered the best price and service.
