Shipping Costs
Hi all,
My sister in law has just had a quote for £3300 + 3% insurance (almost £4000) from Brittania. This is for a 20ft container shipping to Brisbane.
Pickfords apparently are even more!!.
This seems ridiculously expensive to me. Has anyone had similar quotes recently they would like to share

sound about right to me.. most charge around 3k-3.4k and the insurance is a rip off , try lenton persival for cheaper insurance, we plan to use them for our insurance.
PS Costs come down slightly if you "share" a 20ft container, but you have delays involved in that.

We have had five quotes and they are all near enough the same for twenty foot container £33oo to £3500 + insurance at 2 to 3%
So sounds about right

Yep £3800 for us inclusive of insurance with Pickfords 20ft container, however you don't have to take their insurance out there is a company in Liverpool that do insurance @1.5%, do a search
