Shipping Companies & Money Transfer
Hi,
I'm Australian and am heading home with my husband (he's just got his visa!) around the end of October. Having not done anything like this before we could do with some advice on a couple of things. Does anyone know any reputable shipping companies - we don't have a huge amount of stuff but more than we could pack in our suitcases! Secondly, how do you transfer your money to Austarlia - again we don't have a massive amount to transfer but what is the cheapest way to do ie. wiring it, traveller's cheques or some other way - what is the cheapest basically?

Take a look at www.movingdownunder.co.uk/files/shipping.php for websites of shipping companies, I think you get what you pay for so would only use big co. ie. Pickfords. also search on the forum will bring loads of info.
Banking easiest is get to Oz open HSBC account and transfer dosh. ! Or open account from UK.
