Hello !

Starting to get down to the detail's of how I should approach sending my meagre belongings to Sydney.

The original plan was to sell up everything that is 'large', i.e. Beds, Sofa's etc.. and get a load of boxes from www.voovit.com for 200 squidish, I really haven't got all that much furniture you see.

Now that I am getting down to the detail of it all tho, I find that there are a few large items that I would really like to take over with me. Nothing really that big (nothing that couldnt be packaged) but just tall (i.e. Uplighters etc..).

If I were to post items over individually, how much should I expect to pay ?? Or can't you really do this and should I just go for 1/2 a pallett on a boat ? if so, how much est would I be lookin at for this ? any recommendations ?

Thanks for any advise,

R

Hi,
i'm using a small Sussex shipping co - they are moving mostly boxes for me, but are quite happy to do a few items of furniture as well, and I think most companies would be the same. I've got a chest of drawers, a chair and a couple of cabinets - the company provided packing materials for the big stuff, as well as all my boxes, and will ship it all together as a part container load.
If you try someone like the Excess Baggae Co, I think they will do the same, or phone some local ones in your area and ask for a quote for boxes and furniture together.

Thanks for the info,

Sorry to be cheeky, but roughly how much should I expect to pay to ship over a few items ?

Regards
