The Shippers have been!

Re: The Shippers have been!
TIP: don't take close rellies or family to the airport to say goodbye. Do it the day before and then get a taxi if you are close enough. It makes it easier to get on the plane all excited (and a bit nervous) than a blubbering emotional wreck.
Good luck. Bring the dry weather with you please.

Nearly a year since we were in this position
Remember well the stuff being taken away and we were left with an empty house apart from a little TV on a box and a few sleeping bags on the floor.
Kind of miss the excitement of it all, but wouldn't want to do it again!!!!

Well, the shippers have been and gone! Came on the Thursday morning, packed everything up and then came and finished everything on the Friday morning and then loaded it on to the container! Simples!
We used John Mason who were absolutely fabulous - would highly recommend. Very professional and worked very hard to get eveything into our 20ft container. The office staff were excellent too - answered all our questions very promptly.
Just 16 days til we fly! Just all those last minute things to do and of course all those goodbyes.

Re: The Shippers have been!
Thanks everyone Good luck to those of you who are also making the move this year!
We have asked that people don't come to the airport to see us off as it would be too emotional. Although my MIL has said she might just hop in a taxi and ome and see us off! I hope she's joking as we really don't want all that. As you say it's much easier to do all the goodbyes beforehand.
Don't know if I mentioned it but we are also taking our cat - she gets collected the same day as us!

Oh I really feel for you Mrs E! I reckon this must be the worst part and I'm absolutely dreading it. Just focus on the moment you get on the plane and the goodbyes are behind you. Our one-way flights are booked for August and I'm sure the relief will be huge when I step on the plane having been through the emotional wringer in the weeks leading up to it.
Good luck with the move. x

Haha! Love it! Might just have to resort to that! You would think that people would respect your wishes though wouldn't you!
