Yeah that gives me hope too, ours is due the day after yours. Really hope it doesn't take long as we are currently paying rent for a house that we cant live in because we have nothing to put in there.
Has the removal company this end contacted you yet, I am wondering what the next step is. Also a bit worried reading someones comments about not putting their address on the paperwork in the UK, we didnt either as we didnt have one till we got here

Sue,
If you know the shipping line carrying the container you may find the schedule on their website.
Or maybe you just have the vessel name and voyage number ? You can sometimes track it with that.

I've had a look I didn't have a number but the vessel is called 'Maersk Daesan'....I have just e.mail Crown, so they may be able to let us know. We've got on-line tracking for what its worth no real info on there.
Cheers Sue...I'll let you know if they e.mail back

Re: Shipments into Brisbane
Very often the ship that the container Left UK On is not the same ship that it arrives in brisbane on - they're often unloaded at mid-ports like Hong Kong.. as you can imagine there istn a lot of commerce from UK direct to Brisbane ;-) certainly not enough to support a container ship every few weeks going direct.

Re: Shipments into Brisbane
Almost certainly true of that one.
It was due to load at Chinese ports then Hong Kong before heading for Bremerhaven, germany.
The main transhipment port for Australasia is Singapore but some use Port Kelang, Malaysia.
Have you tracked by Bill of Lading number or Container Number ?

We haven't heard anything, and I can't trace it online. We're just hoping that we will have our stuff in our house by Christmas.

It might arrive on the right date, and then sit and look around Moreton Bay for a while. Hey ho.
The only people really stuffed up by it, are the shipping companies who run a really tight turnround itinerary. It must be a nightmare for them.

Ours is due to dock on 3rd December. We were hoping we'd have ours when we move out of furnished accommodation on 27th, but it's looking less and less likely. Lets hope there will be some people over there prepared to lend stuff to strangers!!!
