Default to ship or not to ship??

hi there

we hope to move out to brisbane next year, would all you lucky people who have already jumped the pond ship furnture across or not?
Things like beds, dining suite, oak cd racks etc. Does the cost of shipment outway the cost of replacement and hassle of buying new?

ANY comments greatley appreciated.

We did ship, but we had a lot of antique furniture, maybe if your not bothered about what you own then starting afresh would be the way to go.
Maybe get a quote for transportation, then try and work out what it would cost to buy again, but try and be realistic with the cost of replacement.
