Shall I have a celebratory drink ?
I have just been given a job promotion with salary increase
Guess I should be delighted but my mind is elsewhere.
Shall I crack open a bottle anyway ?

Shall I crack open a bottle anyway ?

Might as well, Bix, what else would you be doing?
(No, second thoughts, don't answer that )

See if you can promoted and sacked for drunken behaviour on the same day.

Me too - was given a promotion 2 weeks ago and pay rise back dated to October, but handed my notice in last week anyway!
I'd crack open the bottle.

Ladies, I love the fairer sex, you are so sensible
I have bowed to your superior wisdom and cracked a bottle of Italiano red It's half empty already - or is that half full ?
You are right of course, cos if I don't get a visa I will be happy that this promotion came along.
Must remember to change my profile; a bit more for the CV

well done sir what is your new title?
I was Sales Support Manager then Customer Services Manager and my new title is Regional Sales Manager.
"Your mission Bix, should you decide to accept it, is to grow the markets in the Americas and Pacific regions whilst looking after a third of the UK. Good luck Bix"
And this vino bottle disintegrated after 5 glasses
