As suggested by The_Effys we are starting a new thread. Anyone going to be settling in Perth in 2007/2008? We would love to hear from new people who maybe not on the other list and those of you already on the list.
Any information people have that they think will be beneficial to others in the same boat is really appreciated, reminds us of all the things we have to get done. Sarah/Dave:cool: |

Hi all,
I have just found a few private messages that David read and never told me about (doh!). I have added people onto the list as requested. Markrj wanted to be added to the list and he has been there a while. I could do with a bit more info though if possible. Things seem to be quiet on the thread at the moment as alot of people are getting ready to go! All the best to everyone going very soon and I hope all goes well at the other end!!!! Sarah.:p HERE IS THE LIST: |

Hi caggsy
Medical pipework is mainly in the hospitals, oxygen, air and that lovely gas you ladies like when you are in pain when having a baby. Does Jason carry out plumbing in houses or on the commercial sites. Hope your job interviews went ok. phillip Gosh - never thought about how/who supplies those supplies to hospitals - sounds specialised! Jason does domestic and commercial. He's working on new builds though at the moment. Good luck with the packing and Crown - just tracked our shipment, it left Southampton on 18 August and expected to arrive Fremantle 25 September which is 4 weeks before us! Would rather have it there earlier rather than later, let's see - watch this space ........ Have a good day! |

Yep a little bit specialised but once you get the hang of it its easier than plumbing. We was told by crown that we have to be there before our shippment arrives. phillip. |
Re: Settling in Perth 2007/8 List
Hi there,
I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this. I have recently bought a range cooker for our kitchen here. The original plan was to leave it here when we make the move, but I love it so much I can't bring myself to leave it! I have looked on the AQIS website and various different movers websites as to whether or not I can bring it. It doesn't say I can't but I can't get a definitive answer. Can anyone shed some light on this? Cheers Janine |
Re: Settling in Perth 2007/8 List
Hi there, what a good idea for a thread, its nice to see who is going where and when. I moved to Mandurah with my family on 5th July and really like it here!
Would be nice to be added to the list? Would be good to meet some people that are coming over?? Hayley |
Re: Settling in Perth 2007/8 List
Hi Hayley,
Of course you can be added to the list. Give me some details and I will put you on. Either post it on this thread or send me a PM. Sarah. |
