Settlement Services?
Bit of a mad question, but are there any people out there that can help with the settlement services, I mean if we land what do we know about Tax numbers, were to go for short term accom, etc.
We are planning on landing in Vic, would like to live around the bayside but nothing definite yet?
ANyone out there used any services like this or do we not need it?

You can get your Tax number over the internet so long as you have a visa number.
Try under Australian government Tax.
This should save you some time.

Tried CitySearch and OnlyMelbourne too and can't find them on there either.

There's so much info to find on this forum and on the whole www that I definetly wouldn't (over)pay ANYONE to help me with such stuff.
But I also see it as part of the fun and adventure!!!
Tax file number is very easy to get, as said over the internet.
Medicare is easy too, such do a search on here.
License; usually in the first 3 months, do a theory test.
You can look all this stuff up on here

If you get STNI from SA, the government (I think) have a free service to meet you at the airport and put you in temp accomodation but not VIC as far as I can tell.
