Serviced Appartments Brisbane
Hello all, new member here.
We're moving from Brixton to Brisbane in mid Sept and until we find a long-term rental, we need an appartment. There's 2 of us plus an 18 month old so we need a 1 bed or ideally 2 with kitchen and laundry facilities for about a month.
Anyone got any recommendations? It doesn't need to be hugely central (but we'd need good links into CBD) or deluxe and we'd like to pay less than $500/week.
Thanks guys.

Really? When did you go. Its been recommended to me? Not luxury but at $385 a week if you book for a month its very reasonable. Some of the other apartments look nicer but we dont want to cane our budget on temporary accomodation.

It's where I am right now!! It's a 15 min walk to the train station at Morningside but the rental also comes with a car. It's clean and tidy, has a washer and drier, has cable telly and is well within your budget. I was speaking to the landlord earlier and I think he said it would be empty from Sept 11th. PM me if you want the guy's mobile number / email address.
He's been ace with us actually, helping us out with some bits for our new place and going out of his way to sign some forms for me when I was going for my driving licence.

Quest Bridewater Apartments at Kangeroo point which I don't believe are the same as mentioned above. We stayed there for our first two weeks i risbane and they were good, especially as the city was quite close to get things set up like banks, insurance, RACQ etc, etc.

Also have stayed at the medina apartements when I worked in Brisbane for a UK company. They were also ok, right by Fortitude Valley,

recommend both for short term stay

We are staying at the Manhattan on Newstead apartments for 3 weeks on 5th November - check the website out - the facilities look great and a couple of other posters on the forum have recommended these apartments - they all have 2 bedrooms - fully furnished and equipped - we have booked a top floor apartment with a partial river view.
See http://www.seqrents.com.au/manhattannew/
For pics and description.
Hope this helps,
Lynn
p.s John the manager told me lots more about the apartment by e-mail - he's very helpful.

we stayed at the Sedgebrook Villas on Leichardt Street, found them on www.seqrents.com.au It was $600 per week for 2 bed apartment, but well worth it. I would definitely recommend them.

We stayed at the promenade which is in Clayfield, only about 6kms out of the cbd, also managed by John(seqrents) the apartments were exactly as the pictures described, would highly recommend them and John is excellent, we paid weekly and didnt have to pay a deposit and when we moved into our rental early he let us out of the 4 week contract.

Besides which, did I mention that we've just bought a house not far from you? Thought it was safe, cos we knew you'd be moving soon ....
