Re: Selling your own home in Aus...
You can use companies such as ANREPS or COMFREE and the like Bridie.
Their fees and charges are supposedly much cheaper than conventional real estate agencies like mine.
Using them is basically a do-it-yourself form of selling............ they provide a For Sale sign, feature sheets, home open signs etc......... and you conduct the Home Opens yourself based on what level of package you take out with them. I'm not sure what their cost are these days?
I have some FSBO signs you are welcome to borrow if you wish..........ie coreflute fold up A-Frame FOR SALE BY OWNER signs? The type you fold up and place a couple of bricks inside to counter the wind.

Thanks Bobcat, I wasnt sure if you were allowed to sell a house yourself, so might look into those options. Any $$$ saved means less on the mortgage...!

You can advertise your own house on www.domain.com.au for about $250 for a month or something like that.

A mate of mine sold his own house. He just had a board made up - I think it was about $30. He didn't even get it onto the net before someone had made an offer!
