Hi,
Can anyone help or advise.
I have some UK shares given to me and want to sell them from Australia.
Is it straight foward, do I need a broker.
We have Permanent Residency.
Thanks

Most U.K. brokers will refuse to deal with you unless you can provide a U.K. address. So your options are:
1. Find a U.K. broker that will accept overseas clients. Perhaps one in the Isle of Man or Channel Islands?
2. Transfer the stock privately.
3. Find an Australian broker that's able and willing to deal in U.K. shares.

We bought and sold Marks & Sparks shares through St George. Charges were pretty steep but they might be worth a try.
