self loading uk to oz

Hi all
We are self loading our container to Brisbane..would anyone be able to advise how much detail we need to put onto the Inventory..for example for a box with kids books and toys would we have to list every single toy on each individual box?
Thanks in advance:)

No, just list the groups of items like kids toys, kids books, kids shoes etc...

However, the more detail, the easier it is to identify items for yourselves when you unpack. :)

Agree with Alfresco.

One other tip is to pack things together that are liable to be inspected by AQIS (Quarantine & Inspection Service) to avoid them rooting through lots of boxes unnecessarily:

Common items of quarantine concern
The first rule to remember is that DAFF will be interested in any item that originated from an animal or a plant (including timber), or contains part of an animal or a plant.

The second rule to remember is that DAFF will also be interested in any item that has been in contact with animals, plants, water, food or soil.

Scrub anything that has come into contact with dirt e.g. bicycle tyres, wellies, walking boots, camping gear (we left our camping gear behind with friends as we didn't fancy the hassle)

Beware of things like Christmas decorations harbouring old pine cones
