Second 457 visa
 

Hi everyone,

I've got what I hope will be a relatively straightforward query that I'd really appreciate any insight on!

I first moved to Australia in 2013 on a 417 Working Holiday visa. I was lucky enough to find a job with a company who then sponsored me under a Temporary Work (Skilled) 457 visa. I have since left that job and Australia, and returned to the UK, however, my previous company has since raised the possibility of me returning to work for them in Sydney. My query, therefore, is whether an individual can be sponsored twice by the same employer under the 457 visa.

Any information anyone has on this would be much appreciated, as I can't seem to find a straight answer on this online anywhere!

Yes, they can sponsor you again, as long as you and they meet the current requirements

Thanks so much for your reply.

I also heard back from an Australian visa advisor yesterday who confirmed that my previous company would be able to sponsor me again and that 457 visas are essentially ad infinitum - which is handy to know!
