Question Screw or bayonet

We have several lamps, some with screw and others with bayonet light bulbs. Please could someone tell me if both are available in OZ.

Many thanks, Gillian

Same as the UK. Be aware that indandescent light bulbs are being taken off the market next year. Only low energy light bulbs will be sold.

I think I'll start bulk-buying bulbs through work.

I bought some GU10 low energy bulbs to replace some halogen downlighters. They don't fit and I had to take them back. Pathetic.

It's the biggest green-con being foisted on the public - the 'green' credentials of these bulbs are suspicious at best and they are ONLY suitable for replacing normal bulbs in areas where you would often use a flourescent lamp anyway !

I saw something somewhere about someone stockpiling incandescent bulbs - no doubt to sell in the future at a fat profit. I'm going to buy some as well and keep them.

It's really starting to piss me off that politicians are taking sweeping decisions on 'green' issues when the science and rationale behind them are deeply suspect.
