Servite
Servite College was established in 1957 by the Friars of the Servants of Mary. The College is still run by the Friars who are still very much present within the school. Servite College is a coeducational College. The College enrolls students from Year 7 to 12 and has an enrolment of 950. The College offers outstanding educational experiences to a broad range of students. Students aiming for a university placement are challenged and extended in appropriate classes. A very successful Vocational Education and Training program with strong links to industry and TAFE also exists. The College is also very proud of its special needs program which not only offers intensive support to students with special needs in a unit, but integrates students into mainstream where ever possible. Servite has a close liaison with the Telethon Speech & Hearing Program and has a number of students who are hearing impaired. The College also offers a wide range of learning opportunities in the Arts. Servite successfully competes in a range of interschool sports competitions. The origin of the College in the Servite tradition has resulted in a community with a strong emphasis on service to others, an integrated program of liturgy, prayer and retreats and an active pastoral care program.
