Default schools for kids

Hi
Can anybody help me?
When we validate in April does anybody know if we will be able to get our girls in a school for a couple of days to let them have an idea as to what their schools are like.
We are going to the sunshine coast and not too sure which school yet but wondering if we would be wasting our time if we emailed one or two of the schools in the area and asked if we could do this.
I know that easter clashes with some of the time we are there but the last two weeks we will be spending in Caloundra.
Please anybody, any ideas.
Thanks
Debs

Hi,

I would definately send the schools an email and check out if the kids can go in for a couple of days to get a feel for the place. I am sure there will be no probs what so ever , and no there is no problem with emailing the schools. I did that for our move to Mackay recently and had a quick and positive response from all the schools I emailed (3 in total).

We had 6 months on the sunshine coast and our kids went to Chancellor state school in Sippy Downs - Near Buderim, Moloolaba, Maroochydore. I would definately recomend there if you happen to settle a little further North (10 mins drive or so).

Hope this helps...... Mick

Hi I contacted (by email) a school where we hope to end up in Tara Queensland and they sent straight back with details i requested. The school had its own web site so it was easy to contact them.
Good luck

I've got a 10 year old, 7 year old and 2 and a half year old. Is this a primary school?
