Default Schools in Gold Coast

Hi

I will be moving to Oz in the next few months...at last!! I was wondering if anyone could give me some idea of good schools in the Gold Coast area. We will be looking at the Robina/Mudgeeraba area, but will need to be flexible due to work commitments. Any info would be beneficial. Would be interested in the Christian schools, as I believe their discipline is good.

Many thanks

If you are looking for a christian school you will be looking at a private school. All the state schools are non-denominational as far as I am aware. Check out this link:-

Hi, we have 3 girls aged 7, 10 and 11. All attending Varsity College. There is a prep, middle and high school. So far we have been pleased - class sizes are smaller that what we were used to in UK. Girls seem happy enough! To attend you have to be within catchment. Good luck with your move!

We have friends who have children who attend various schools around this area. Most are happy with what each school offers. Emmanuel has a good name, as does All Saints. Just over the motorway is Somerset College. One of my daughter's good friends went to Kings Christian College, and she is now at uni, and had no complaints.
School fees vary - so do some research.. Good Choice of place to live.
Robina ticks all our boxes

Great thanks. Robina is also our chosen destination. Had a friend there when we visited in 2007, he has now moved a bit further north with his work, but we will definately be looking in that area.

Cheers and thanks again

By the way, just had a look at your 'name', sa2uk2oz, and all I can say is SNAP. We are originally from Durbs, have been in UK for too many...sorry, 9 years, and now off back to the sunny skies of the southern hemisphere. Who knows, might bump into you unknowingly at the mall!

Regards

Thanks for that, will definately do some research into all schools in the area. Always a juggling act, as work comes first, thus living closer to work, then schools govern where you stay as well...hmmmmmm lots to think about, but no wurries, will get it sorted.

Cheers
