Schools
 

Hi does anyone know what age children leave secondary school in Brisbane. Our son is 16 and leave school this summer. We plan to move to Brisbane as soon as he has completed his exams. Will he need to enroll in secondary education once we get to Brisbane or can he go straight to College. Can anyone recommend any schools or colleges in Brisbane?

We are in a similar position so would be interested to hear any recommendations for schools in the Brisbane area

Our daughter will leave school at 17 but that will be like leaving at the end of UK sixth form. Some of her friends will be 18 as some choose to start school a year later here. To enrol on a diploma at TAFE you have to have completed year 12, our daughter did this even though she had only completed her GCSEs as she had actually completed year 12 in the UK.
I think it will depend when you arrive here as to what options are open to him.
