Default School league tables/cards...

Some of you might be following the debate in Australia about school accountability and the desire of the Federal government to introduce report cards which will contain various information about the schools.

The teaching unions are objecting (but the teaching unions tend to object about anything which might hold teachers accountable).

This article from the UK Times suggest that the UK might be heading towards similiar report cards in an attempt to remove league tables - interestingly it appears that both countries are adopting measures from New York.
