Question School Catchment Areas - Perth

Question on school catchment areas.

We are planning to buy a plot of land in the Carramar area this year, and would like to rent in Carramar also while the build takes place to ensure that our child gets to the same school - so minimal changes after 6 months or so.

Is it possible to use your plot address as your school catchment area instead of your rental address.

There are only a few rental properties in Carramar it would be a pain to move school twice if we had to rent elsewhere.

I think if you could prove to the school the plot of land was yours I can't see any reason why they wouldn't accept you.

School in Carramar is very popular and in big demand. We booked our two twin nephews in there last year when they had an extended 6 month stay with us when down from Port Hedland.

They have now moved down here permanently and we got them enrolled in the same school again............. but there is a waiting list apparently?

Whereabouts in Carramar are you planning to buy your land?

Hi Bobcat,

We are looking at plots in delamare park, we have just confirmed our dates for leaving singapore March 21st, need to organise viewing of rentals soon after we arrive.

School admin, start back on 29th Jan. Fingers crossed we can get a place for our daughter in year 1 to start after the easter hols.

Do you know the date they start back after the easter hols ?

Thanks in advance.

My daughter is at Carramar, you should be okay getting another one in, they are used to us poms arriving all the time! Delamere Park is almost Banksia Grove and there is a primary school there too - Neerabup I think it is called. There is also one in Tapping which is not far and on your way to anywhere in the morning.

If all else fails and want to look at private schools, there's one on Mistletoe in Banksia Grove...
