Default Scenic Drives around Sydney

We are picking up our car tomorrow
Does anyone have any suggestions for scenic drives around Sydney that we could do easily in a day? We would love to do some exploring now that we have a car

Hi

Dont know about North and West but can help with South.

A good loop of say 250>300km at a gues would be:

South through Sutherland and then through the Royal National Park stopping at Stanwell Tops for the view.

I would then go a wee bit further along the Lawrence Hargreaves then Princes Highway where you could stop for an early lunch at any number of places... Flanagans @ Thirroul beach, Rubys @ Bulli Beach or try the kiosk at Wollongons North Beach. All do great food.

From there about an hour and a half max taking the McQuarie Pass to Morton National Park and a short walk to the Fitzroy Falls, although the falls might be a bit of a trickle at the mo!Fantastic views all the same

Going home you can go back down MacQuarie Pass or head south for a slightly longer loop back down Kangaroo Valley.

cheers Andy

Royal National Park is really nice....Head towards Bundeena. You have to pay something like $11 to take your car in or get an annual pass to all the national parks for $65 (that's what we have done). There are a couple of places you can hire Kayaks. If you go to the cafe at Audley (I think it was), you're sure to have close encounters with some cockatoos.
