scart leads?

scart leads?
silly question i think but just been speaking to some 1 from oz and they said electrical stuff over there dont have scart sockets on them like tv's dvd player ect, i thought every where would use them

Nope no scart leads here. Worthwhile brining an adaptor to scart to three plug video/audio if you want to use equipment on an australian setup.

I remember reading something in the UK a few years back saying that SCART was not as good as some of the alternatives.

Ive had a TV with scart in the back for at least 5 years. All over the place, adaptors etc

Here's a hint: at the back of the tv/vcr/dvd where you plug the lead in it will say "EURO", as in Europe.
That said, some Aussie bought items do have it.
When connecting devices to your TV, the quality, in ascending order, goes like this:
Composite - Your yellow (video), red and white (audio) leads.
SCART & S-Video (same quality, different leads) - Better quality than composite
Component & RGB - Three separate video leads, you may have 2 others for audio. Best quality.
You can buy SCART to Composite adapters.
Big.
That said, some Aussie bought items do have it.
