Will that do for now! So Brisbane it is for us!!!

Re: Scarborough To Brisbane In Sept
hi there steve
we ve got friends who live in scarborough, north yorkshire,we absolutely love it the,far better than where we came from in peterborough maybe you know are friends
Anyway,i think you ll find brisbane very different to scarborough, having been here almost a year im getting to know it pretty well
Brisbane it a big city but there s many different areas to it,the city centre itself has plenty of shops but not much in the way of nightlife, unlike scarborough where you can fall from one pub to another, you wont find that in brisbane city centre,if you want night life then fortitude valley is the place to go,although its a way to walk but the trains run there regularly.Southbank its another area of the city, great for families with its man made beach and public barbecue areas, great to go either for a day or an evening out with your familt and friendstake your own barbecue stuff or picnic its a fab way to while away the hours, there are resturants but they do close very early, believe me you ll have trouble getting a meal after 8.30 at night,we ve tried it!
the city cat is a great way to get around the city,it will take you across and down the river with various stops along the way.towong has a great pub/resturant,theres riverside for wining and dining and the storey bridge from the city cat at night is a great sight to see.
parking isnt easy in the city and is quite expensive,we ve found, often its easier and cheaper to get the train in,if you get a traveler ticket it cost $6 for the day and you can travel on the trains buses and the city cat all day, great value for mony and you dont have to worry about parking although the train here are extremely slow to what we re used to in the uk.
hope this helps,i love brisbane but i also love scarborough, north yorkshire, there both very different nin charactor but there alot to be said for both places
