From Jan 2008 (which i count as my 'proper' job) I have increased my wage by 20% - which is ok when you consider it's only 3.5 years. Still 8 paypoints to climb so each year I expect a small increase. Don't feel much better off but I'm not struggling - no kids = more cash!

Using the original calc I earn 200% of what I originally earned in 2002

Some of this is down to job moves most is down to being ripped off when I first came to accept a lower salary for the transfer

Hubby is eaning 300% of what he originally earned - got back into the print industry that earned us the PR but on perm night shift now as opposed to selling cars

Both of us in comparison wages are on a PAR or under with what we could earn in the UK the few years earning under was hard work.
