Hi All,

The wife has been offered a Job a Stock Control Manager in Adelaide with a wage of $42,000 and they pay super annuation is this a good wage or too low?

Hi,

I am not sure whether this represents good pay or not for this job, but I would suggest that your wife could take the job, get some aussie experience and move on 6 months down the line.

That is what I would do.

If I were offered $42k, I would take the job and if not happy with the salary or the working conditions, move on after getting the job experience.

Sounds good to me (down here on $26k); and yes, I agree, take it, you can always look round for a higher wage. They say its easier to get a job when you're in a job.

I have been looking at various jobs within government departments and 42 -50 appears about the average if you are not after some high powered post. I have just applied for a training post in a government department and the salary for that was 52.

I would take the advice of those who have posted and take the job with view to moving on to bigger and better things once you gain the experience.
