Question Safety deposit boxes...are there any??

I know there are safety deposit boxes here in the UK but what about in Australia?(Brisbane to be exact). It's just that we are bringing jewellery and some important papers and if we can have them kept safely in Australia then at least we can get at them when we need them. Any thoughts? Also, any idea of costs?

Yes all the main banks do it. I have the bank hold a A4 sized sealed envelope and that costs $27.50 per year. Boxes cost I think a couple of hundred dollars per year depending on the size.

I get one free access per month then they charge per access (don't know how much as only go about twice a year).

I've heard that in Perth you have to get on a (long) waiting list. Don't know about Brizzie tho.
