thx for your reply about rental

funny enough i run too mainly 10K and have been looking at clubs - just did a search on google

if u r reasonable level in uk then should walk it in perth as not many seem to enter races looking at their result lists!

There are some good marathons to be had in Australia ... and some good hilly country to train on ...check out 'Perth Marathon' in google.

Good luck and don't forget to drink lots!

Cant comment on Perth running but you will find generally lots of running clubs etc.

I run 10k's and the only thing I can say is...run very early in the morning before the suns properly up

Gotta agree with that ... I enjoy an evening run before the sun goes down too, just as the temp is dropping. When it's too hot I have been known just to treadmill it.
I am going to do the Sydney City to Surf next year if I am fit enough. The Melbourne marathon is also a great one.
