Rugby for our 14 year old son - will the Aussie kids be fitter and better?
We are now just 8 weeks from moving to NSW! Our son is so worried about leaving his mates and his rugby team.
Part of his worry is that his new school will not be as committed to rugby as him.
We have explained that we will find a club for him if this is the case. Are there many clubs?? Plus there is the league and union issue, (he plays union).
We are thinking of moving to Avoca/Terrigal area but this is not finalised.
He is also worried that the Aussie kids will be better than him at all sports. He plays in the A team in a fairly successful school in the UK. He is a bit of an all rounder but not the best in the teams at school.
What are your experiences of rugby and kids fitting into teams etc?
Thanks Tara

The kids wont be any fitter. They'll be about the same or worse. Child obesity problem is as much of a problem here as it is in the UK.

There is a choice of League and Union - what a state.
