If on the assumption that he wants to play, can you please narrow the area down, as NSW is a reasonably large state, with alot of clubs in the Sydney metro area alone?

Ok. Maybe someone down that way maybe able to help.

PS, might be a good idea not to use capitals all the time as it is not considered good forum etticate. You may tend to alienate some good info sources by "shouting".

Best of luck finding a club.:)

Re: RUGBY

If you go to www.huntershillrugby.org.au that's the website of your local club.

My 14 year old was gutted when we realised his new school played rugby league - apparantly league offers a lot to schools in the way of equipment/training/funding etc. He hopes to play at St. Ives when the new season starts. We have found all the sports clubs here very welcoming and they always seem keen for new members.

there are several strong clubs in sydney- follow the 'community' link on the australian rugby union website www.rugby.com.au. we play down in the illawarra but son plays in with rep side for state championships at pittwater every year. friends son plays in sydney and all matches are on saturdays to fit in with private schools' timetables apparently. some kids play both codes, but there is more money pumped into schools(mainly state) by league

My cousin's kids both play for Drummoyne Rugby Club - just over the bridge from Hunters Hill www.drummoynerugby.com.au You will find most private schools have rugby teams but not all state schools. In fact St. Joseph's at Hunters Hill has one of the best teams in the country.

ive found it tough finding Rugby Union, especially in Adelaide - for my daughter though not son...i thought there would be more girls playing in OZ than in Uk for some reason.
