Royal Mail redirection from UK to Aus
How time flies! Has anyone managed to renew with Royal Mail beyond two years?
Edit: Found a thread from 2009 which discusses this: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=613348 |

Re: Royal Mail redirection from UK to Aus
Update: I telephoned them again a few minutes ago to check if they'd received the fax but the altogether more helpful call centre operator went straight into renewing it for the next 12 months. Job done!

Re: Royal Mail redirection from UK to Aus
in good faith.... we all know that phoning any part of the government, civil service, we end up getting alot of incorrect information,
I have no doubt that you were told that you can renew.... but the fact is that laws say it is only for 2 years maximum... so when it hits the sorting floor it will be rejected... I dont want to play tit4tat, but these are the rules.... maybe people can get local sorting offices to forget them, then good luck.... please click below and click paragraph 6:3 http://www.royalmail.com/sites/defau...tion_terms.pdf nick |

Aus post worker of 18 years :) I'd personally get my mail sent to a relative and have them just write the new address on the individual items and resposted.... For the most part that will get through untaxed.... Or Aus Post wont bother collecting the UK tax sticker money..... Mind you it will come seamail so could take 8 weeks to get here....You'll probably get one in 50 marked RTS.. |
