Roofing felt - what's it called in Oz or does it not exist?

I've just built my dog a kennel and went to Bunnings to buy some roofing felt to waterproof the roof but they didn't know it by that name and didn't seem to have anything in stock that resembled it.

Does it exist in Oz and if so what's is called?

If not, can anyone else suggest what I put on the roof of a kennel to keep it watertight? Right now I've put builder's film which is clearly not a long term solution although it did keep him dry last night!

I've thought about this before, could it be that it's too hot here for Roofing Felt. I've never seen it, and needed it back on a leaky annexe when I had my Place at Nagambi.

No one up there had it, and everyone would have used it I'm sure, if they knew about it.

Hi Buzzy Bee,

You would probably be able to buy some from a commercial flat roofer, it isnt underfelt like they have in uk.

It will be heavy duty stuff used for multi layerd roofing.....I could sort you some out in Sydney..but no idea about Melbourne.

Otherwise corrugated iron is the norm.

Yep never seen it, the nearest is sarking but thats not waterproof. What to use, colourbond, everythings at bunnings, sheets, facias and ridgecaps etc

And your dog does not look impressed with your handy work!!

Ring round the local builders, they may have some off-cuts lying around.
