Roadworhty certificate

My OH is a motor mechanic and back in the UK he held an MOT licence and was able to carry out MOT tests on cars.He was wondering if anybody knew if his licence was transferable to a Roadworthy licence, which would obviously be an advantage in getting a better job.If its not transferable who would he need to contact to obtain such a licence.Any help would be grateful.

Thanks.

Hi
Im affraid it is not transferable to a roadworthy licence in QLD, your OH will have to get a mechanics job then prove that he was a mot examiner with the MOT in UK,then his employer can put him forward for a course/test through queensland transport or any other state transport office to become a roadworthy inspector, you could pay for the course/test yourself and obtain the licence but it will be more difficult, go on the QLD transport website
all the best:thumbup:
