Default Ritalin kids

This is very, very scary...

Consider also the forthcoming proposed legislation in WA in the Review of the Mental Health Act 1996, due for parliamentary consideration in February 2006, which is recommending that children can be detained and given involuntary psychiatric treatment based on the decision of a psychiatrist and without consent of a parent. This could include the forcible use of drugs, restraint, seclusion and, for children over twelve, electro-convulsive treatment (ECT).

Now it becomes even more scary...

It is disgusting ! These pharmaceutical companies have alot to answer too ! They push these drugs, earning billions per year but fail to put proper trials in motion. They can afford the lawsuits so don't give a toss ... and if they lose they just re-name the drug !

Everyone should research the drug that they are given no matter what it is for !

What gets me though is all this crap is handed out like smarties and tell someone you've had a joint and its all tut tut

Sorry for the rant
