Having read that Australia is the 2nd populalr destinations for Brits to retire to, wondering where they all are ?Are thereany other Brits in our circumstancs. Had many holdays over here, then spent most of last year selling up big house, medicals, etc. to come over on temp 4 year retirement visa. Living in Sydney in rented property lovely view etc. but missing uk even though its rainy and gales there in Summer! Slowly meeting people but would love to chat or meet up with British retirees who have come here recently to share their views and advice.
After 5 months even though have daughter and son in law living here feeling very homesick and at times wonder if we have done the right thing. Bought our 2 little dogs with us too, so have lots of walks and discovering Sydney.

We are in much the same position and miss our friends and family back home. We arrived in Brisbane 2 months ago. We are living with our son and partner while we wait for our house to be built. We would love to chat and share experencies. We also have a son living in Randwick so we are frequent visitors to Sydney. We are going to the Brisbane Expats meet in July and hopefully will meet people there.
