Restrictions with a "regional sponsored visa"

Hi All,

I'm awaiting a "regional sponsored visa", now my cousin lives in Melbourne, does this mean I'm only allowed to settle in Melbourne and /or Victoria?.

What would they say if I were offered a job in say Queensland, would they tell me NO???.

If anyone else has any knowledge on the clauses of these Visa's I'd be grateful to hear about it.

thanks in advance.

If you mean Skilled Designated Area Sponsored, then you can live
anywhere you like.

Most people whith that visa do tend to settle close to their family in
Australia, however there is no obligation to do so.

Thanks Jeremy, though I'm not entirely sure wether that =is the same as a "Regional sponsored Visa", as its my cousin who's sponsoring us and not the state?.

Anyone else with any knowledge or experience in this field?.

Skilled Designated Area sponsored used to be known as Skilled Regional
Sponsored. The name was changed a while back.

It's the one where a family member sponsors you.
