renting in Sydney
Hiya,
Can anyone tell me how much dosh we will have to pay for renting house up front as in bond plus how many weeks rent? Also has anyone here with cats had a problem renting a house or just not bothered to mention the cats....well they do tend to wander....and if they live outside(not that my babies do!)
Moving over from Auckland next month after 3.5 years here(originally souff london) deciding to jump the pond!

Generally I've seen 4 weeks rent + 4 weeks rent as the bond up front.
I think most leases specify no pets so you will need to declare your cats on your application to rent the place. Be prepared that a number of landlords will not want animals and currently in most areas there is a shortage of rental properties so landlords can be more choosy on who they rent to.
