I'm looking at Subiaco....a little tiny house (with no garden) that would fit 1 cup and saucer in, is $850 per week. Unbelievable!!

Re: renting in perth
Maybe I'm looking at a not-so-good area, but there are places from $250 a week in Armadale - I'm looking at myhome.com.au, there are 2-4 + 1/2's there looking quite decently priced.

I've never lived there so won't comment about the fact that Armadale may or may not be a total shithole. I'd prefer to leave it to people who have lived there to confirm this.

The thing is, if we did not have children me and the OH may not be so choosy about our choice of area, therefore we would rent somewhere less expensive until we had got on our feet, but since we do have children, a good area with a good school is a must - have for us. Unfortunately these places come at a price and people are only too willing to pay it. Gilly. |

Gilly. At least once I'm here, of course, she'll only be 2 and a half (if all goes well) so we won't have the immediate worry of school. You walk past a primary school here and the small kids are swearing and cursing at their parents, there is no discipline, the results are always low for the schools here. |
